HVAC CONSTRUCTION

The term HVAC, which stands for Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning, has become increasingly popular over the years as the traditional heating and air conditioning industry has evolved to further develop and incorporate indoor air quality into their everyday jobs. HVAC’s primary goal is to obtain comfortable indoor conditions and to ensure that your indoor air quality is safe.

Heating refers to any equipment or device that is used to generate and provide heat to attain a higher indoor temperature. Heat is primarily distributed as either warm air or as hot water/steam. Depending on which part of the country you live in, heating is typically used during the colder months of October through March. A few of the common types of heating systems are:

  • Boiler
  • Furnace
  • Heat Pump
  • Ductless Mini- Split

Ventilation is the process of exchanging air from indoor to outdoor. It can also refer to the air circulation within a building. Proper ventilation not only helps control the temperature in a designated space, but it also aides in removing smoke, heat, dust, bacteria and any unnecessary moisture that lives and grows in indoor air. Good ventilation leads to improved indoor air quality.

Air Conditioning is a system that removes heat from a room or a building in order to lower indoor temperatures and to control humidity levels. Depending on which part of the country you live in, air conditioning is typically used during the warmer months of May through September. A few of the common types of cooling systems are:

  • Heat Pump
  • Air Conditioner
  • Ductless Mini- Split
